HEATSTRIP® Portable LPG Outdoor Heater Receives 2017 Good Design® Selection in Product Design Category
Trading Hours Holiday Season
As 2016 comes to an end, we would like to thank everyone we have worked closely with over the year. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thermofilm Australia will be closed from Friday 23th December 2016 and will re-open on Monday 9th January 2017.
This Movember (November), Thermofilm committed to help to change the face of men's health (ie Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide) and set a target contribution of $2,000. We had 10 very keen participants from the Sales, Operations and Engineering teams, however some have been more successful than others at growing The "Mo".
Movember Foundation is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030 and we would like to thank all our Movember participants and donors.
New manufacturing facilities for Thermofilm
A big thank you to our Operations team during the recent move to our new premises in Dandenong South, Victoria, ensuring no interruption to manufacturing and deliveries. The new facility has an expanded Heatstrip assembly line, with new test and R&D facilities. We are now well placed to continue to design and introduce innovative Australian products and support our growth both locally and our export markets of Europe, USA and Asia. We thank you for your continued support.
HIA Awards Ceremony
As part of our growing sponsorship program, Thermofilm was proud to support the 2015 HIA Victorian Housing Awards last November, at the Crown Palladium.
The Awards ceremony celebrates the highest standards of workmanship, design, visual appeal, innovation and environmental sustainability of the HIA Victorian home builders.
The Envirotouch switch range sponsored the GreenSmart Energy Efficiency category, while Heatstrip was a proud sponsor of the Outdoor Kitchen Design award. Also, the addition of Bliss LED lighting products on each table, gave a sense of style and elegance for such a gala event at the Crown Casino.
Above is Steve Carroll (General Manager) presenting the Awards to the lucky winners.
Ecoliv Buildings won the Envirotouch GreenSmart Energy Efficiency category with a modular home set in regional Victoria. Comprised of two prefabricated modules, the home pushes the boundaries of standard domestic construction to achieve cost, time and resource efficiencies. The result is affordable off-the-grid living.
Hargreaves Joinery won the Heatstrip Outdoor Kitchen category, by designing a functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor kitchen, that showcases an innovative use of materials. Alifrost aluminium framed doors with UV resistant acrylic panels provide a depth of colour, whilst ensuring the joinery will not suffer from exposure to the elements in years to come. Laminex PV LITE Panel cabinet construction provides the practicality, water resistance and easy to clean properties required for such a project.

Thermofilm supports “The Footy Show”
Thermofilm Heatstrip was proud to recently donate several Heatstrip heaters to the Channel 9 AFL Footy Show “Tough Love” segment.
This is a regular segment where the “Footy Show” selects a well deserving volunteer of a local football club and undertakes a $10,000 makeover of their house, with help from Footy Show regulars Garry Lyon, Bill Brownless and Shane Crawford.
In this edition, it was Mick Olsen (and his wife Anne). Mick lives in Drouin, Victoria and is a stalwart of the Drouin Football Club. He recently had a stroke and the Drouin Football Club nominated him for the “Tough Love” makeover. The make-over was of his outdoor entertaining area, and the Heatstrips were installed above a new outdoor lounge.
Mick commented “these heaters have helped to make our back patio an enjoyable place for us, as well as our family and friends. We will really be more cosy out there with your heaters”.
Thermofilm are proud to support a great cause and someone that dedicates themselves to the local community.
In recent months, Thermofilm has given readers of Home Beautiful Magazine and Your Garden Magazine the exciting opportunity to win a HEATSTRIP® radiant heater by entering their prize giveaway competition. We are pleased to announce the winners
Home Beautiful Magazine: As announced in the October issue of Home Beautiful, the lucky winner of a HEATSTRIP Classic THH1800A model is Emily W. from Hobart, Tasmania! Congratulations, Emily!
Your Garden Magazine: Our other lucky winner, as announced in the August issue of Your Garden, is Jacqueline S. from South Australia, who is now the proud owner of a HEATSTRIP Classic THH2400A model! Congratulations!
Channel 7 – Better Homes & Gardens
Better Homes & Gardens hosts Tara Dennis and Adam Dovile recently renovated a tired and drab backyard deck area for owners Karen & Troy.
Tara decided on an American Colonial style makeover, which included repainting the entire area, updating the outdoor table and the addition of lighting, screens and patio blinds.
The installation of Heatstrip Classic model THH1800A ensured the area could be used all year round, and the black profile of the heater blended perfectly with the grey and white colour scheme. It’s amazing what a coat of paint, and some new outdoor fixtures can do.
Channel 9 – Reno Rumble
Contestants, Carly & Leighton, used the Heatstrip Classic, flush mounted on their outdoor terrace.
Thermofilm supports local sporting talent
As part of our community sponsorship program, Thermofilm is proud to continue sponsoring several local sporting organisations in 2015. During winter, Thermofilm Heatstrip is a key sponsor of AFL football in Melbourne via the South East Juniors (SEJ), which is the organising body for junior football for girls and boys located in the growing South East region of Melbourne. SEJ promotes and assist with kids to become active and involved in local grass roots sporting groups.
General Manager of SEJ Shaun Connell comments “that without support of sponsors such as Thermofilm, our community programs would not be possible. Our Vision is to be the best Australian Football Junior league in Australia in order to provide competition and opportunities for all, to be involved in playing, umpiring, coaching and volunteering”.
Heatstrip is proud to be associated with great local supporting organisations and this season was the “Match of the Round” and game day ball sponsor, as well as signage at the VFL oval at Casey Fields.
